This visit was for a flue injection a reminder was sent, the reception was helpful i did not have to wait long to see the nurse who checked my blood pressure as it had been awhile since my last vist and gave me the injection. Appointments can usually be made for the same day but it does involve phoning at 8am or 3pm and the phone can be engaged for a while the receptionist are usually very helpful when you do get through.
everyone on reception is mostly really friendly and helpful but I must have upset someone along the way. I have been told off like a naughty child on a couple of occasions so I now dread ringing. My family’s needs are very complex so I have to sometimes request things outside of the norm. This usually ends in me getting a lecture on the workings of the surgery and made to feel as though I expect superior treatment which I don’t. There should be an email service available for patients so requests can be put in writing. This would save time for everyone and maybe with the pressure off Reception certain people wouldn’t be so curt. The Doctors are always very helpful and friendly when you finally get through. So a general office email address is what you would expect in this day and age and would be a better way for me certainly to ask for additional help when necessary.
Have been a patient there for 36 years. Always very happy with the help I have had.
All the staff are helpful in the practice. It’s the system that makes it difficult to make advance appointments. I personally am loathe to make an appointment unless it is an absolute emergency and I genuinely think there are dangers that possible serious issues could be missed, which in the long run increases costs for the NHS.
All staff try their best to help
